Here at Sonoran Desert Eye Center, we are proud to offer Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT) for our patients.

Many people prefer to avoid surgery if possible. However, if you are looking to improve your vision as dramatically as surgery would, you may be interested in corneal reshaping therapy.

CRT involves temporarily reshaping the cornea through the use of specialized contact lenses, which are designed to be worn while sleeping. Although these lenses are not very common and most people still prefer laser surgery, this reshaping method is gaining more popularity as the procedure continues to be improved.  It is especially useful in active teenagers who are to young for LASIK, but want the advantage of not having to wear glasses or contact lenses during the day.

CRT has also been useful in slowing the progression of myopia in children who have a strong genetic predisposition and environment for severe myopia.

If you have more questions about CRT,  don’t hesitate to contact us today at (480) 812-2211.
