Thank you for letting us help you with your eye care needs. There are a few tips that will make your visit go more smooth:

  • Feel free to fill out your pre-exam paperwork before arriving. You can access the paperwork HERE or access it on our Online Forms page.
  • For complete exams, plan on being with the doctor for about 45 minutes. Add time if you plan to dilate rather than do the Optomap. Leave yourself time to be fitted for contact lenses and glasses. If you have special time constraints, let us know right away.
  • For emergencies and follow-ups, plan on about 20 to 30 minutes total unless advanced testing is needed or your problems are complex.
  • We recently extended our exam times and our hours to minimize the chance of falling behind. However, if we are running behind, it is because we are accommodating the unforeseen complex needs of another patient. We appreciate patients that are courteous and forgiving in these situations. Please let our staff know what your time constraints are and we will make adjustments to accommodate you.
  • If you need to reschedule your appointment, please try to let us know as soon as possible so we can open the slot for someone else. The costs of providing eye care increase dramatically when patients do not show for their appointments or reschedule at the last minute.
  • Try to bring your current glasses and contact lenses boxes to the visit,
  • While we do all we can to determine your vision plan benefits, it helps if you’ve done some research.
  • There is a difference between medical insurance and vision plans. Most medical insurance will not allow us to bill them on the same day we are billing a vision plan. Additional medical tests and procedures sometimes require separate visits in order for insurance to cover them.
  • If you have special financial circumstances, let us know and we will do our best to help. We also take Care Credit, which allows you to pay your bill over time with no interest!
  • Handicap ramps are on the side of the building. We have wheelchair accessible exam rooms and bathrooms.
  • The financial decision maker should be present for the visit. You may want a family member or friend along to help you choose eye glass frames.
  • We know you want your child to perform well, but do you best to avoid coaching your child during the exam. The doctors and assistants have years of experience performing eye exams on small children.
  • In most cases we can get better quality eye glasses and at a better price than online or discount centers, especially when combined with a vision plan benefits and rebates. Check out our Eye Glasses section of our web site to look at the various options.
  • The busiest hours are after school/work and before close. We do our best to efficiently address every person’s needs, but if you pick up your eye wear during these hours, please be patient with us.
  • If you appreciate our efforts, the highest compliment and encouragement you can give us is the referral of family and friends.
  • Nowadays, so many people find us by searching for an eye doctor on the internet. Let others know about your experience by posting a review on Google or Yelp.
  • If you are not happy with any aspect of our services or products, we want to know so we can fix your problem and improve our processes.  But we would appreciate you letting us know privately and seeing how we respond before posting a one star review online.  Contact Dr. Quaranta or our office manager directly through the Give Feedback page. Thank you!
